Adult Video on StumbleUpon: Good or Bad the Repeated Requests are Getting Old

Sick of X-rated everything, everywhere. There is so much x-rated stuff everywhere, let those that love it go there and enjoy it. Not a prude but sick to death of having x-rated material shoved down my throat and in my face. ENOUGH ALREADY! This is mostly an x-rated world, go out where it is, all the raunchy websites are there, leave it off stumbling, when you put filters then it filters out more than the crap, it usually also filters out Michelangelo cause of David and so on. Let us in peace, and have a place where we are not assaulted with this crap.
Thank you,
Alien Saroyan

This is annoying as hell. There are hundreds of thousands of porn sites out there, I don’t need to stumble them.
July 6th, 2007 - 20:59
With all this technology, I got to look at screenshots designed and written by spastic, sugar fueled 12 year olds?
July 6th, 2007 - 21:45
YES! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was going to make one myself later…
July 6th, 2007 - 21:49
I agree. This person is obviously not fluent in the English language as well. “Just click ** to let THEY know?” What the hell is that !? Get you porn some other way, stumble upon is not meant for this crap.

I definitely do NOT want pornography (especially videos) available on StumbleUpon. This nitwit has the whole wide web to find his wanking material.
July 7th, 2007 - 00:55
I mean, i kinda would like adult video.
But it is gettin old

noob

Although the one on the right almost unlegible, I am very tired of the one on the left.
I hope the responses you receive are all in agreeance.
There are a billion places on the internet for porn, heck, if that is what they want, they should create their own extension like stumble, and leave the rest of us alone!

me likey wanky

You people that are complaining about this issue are all [beep] tards. If you don’t want to see adult content on stumble just set your filter to no adult content. I will gladly click “I like it!” everytime I see that bloody image until stumble adds an adult video category. I mean if you don’t love big [beep] and porn like I do then you should go join the terrorists! [edited for language by Admin]

Stumble is an island of porn-free paradise.
Please…
Keep it that way.
July 7th, 2007 - 13:27
Really appreciate the diversity of opinions represented here, though I can’t say I’ve seen any compelling arguments FOR having pornography on StumbleUpon. Steve: are you sseriously having trouble finding porn on the internet? Meanwhile, thanks to words of support from Danny and others – hopefully this will show StumbleUpon that there is a vocal contingent with strong beliefs on the issue.

Someone should just code an X-rated version of Stumbleupon.
Possible names:
CumbleUpon
StumbleUpOnIt!
PummelUpon
QuiverUpon
ehh, I can’t think of anymore.

While I have no real desire for adult videos, or any other from of porn in my Stumbles, if some people do, what’s the big deal? If I don’t want to see it, i won’t include it as a topic I like, and I’ll turn on the filter. I may not want it, but if some people do, go for it. I’m capable of not looking at things I don’t like.
July 7th, 2007 - 20:01
Do we really need to clog up Stumbling with the ocean of fetid porn sites? We know where they are and can go clog our computers with pop-ups and malicious ad-ware anytime we are desperate enough to need some eye-candy. And why should we even deal with the desperate scrawlings of some Cyber jerk-weed?
July 7th, 2007 - 22:36
No, not at any cost. Please keep SU free of porn. WWW is already filled with this filth and the viewers keen for it can easily have access to it. At least some place should be there to look upon without the fear of being subjected to these sights of sick human behavior.

I think that that the people who really want it, you should be able to at least have a more formal approach. Those pictures took what, about two minutes? So why are stumblers thumbing it up? It’s frustrating.
I mean, fine, give them their topic, just don’t make the rest of us hear about it.
July 9th, 2007 - 09:57
StumbleUpon already has several porn-related sections. If you don’t already know this, then there’s no point to you saying they shouldn’t ‘clog up’ StumbleUpon with porn – you won’t see it anyway! It’s very simple – if you don’t want it, don’t select the topic!
July 10th, 2007 - 06:54
How about just add the category, but make it so that when you install StumbleUpon you choose whether or not that as a listed category. That way you could have a regular StumbleUpon (like it is now) and a perverted version of StumbleUpon that has the addition of adult video searches and stuff.
July 12th, 2007 - 20:04
If you don’t wanna see the adult videos (if the option ever becomes available) then don’t check it in your Preferences fool. It’s not going to be shoved down your throat if you don’t have it in any of your stumble categories, that’s how stumble works, If You haven’t figured that out already. If people want to give stumble advice on new features to improve it’s popularity, this is a very good tool for communicating their opinions to them, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Stumble is an island of porn-free paradise? There are already adult topics in SU and I would not wonder if they make a good share of the traffic of SU. If you dont like porn, just dont check it in and do not impose your will at others.
And yes, we all know where to find porn at the net. But we also know some pretty awsome art-, news- or educational sites and still use SU. So thats no argument.

Like Mr Heartbreak had previously stated, this ‘material’ that SU is supposedly keeping from us, I myself have already been enjoying…..
I think what this poor slacker(See Photo At Top) was really trying to convey, was that there should be a XXX-Rated filter to go with the R and X ratings already implemented…..
But we know he didn’t put enough thought into it, since it makes no sense for Stumblers to rate something that I can already tell you, 9/10 of the trash that would be stumbled is a thumbs down….and that’s being generous…..
I just hope and pray that this Comment page is here just for strengthening (and possibly for some comic relief) the fact that XXX has no place on SU.
The filters as they stand now are completely flexible and usable, and do a great job of keeping the Adult material away from those who should not see it.
And sorry for making everyone read this drivel, as it isn’t saying very much that hasn’t already been said……. And If I keep going, things will surely get off topic…
Good day, and may your next Stumble be a blessed one.
